Proudly Serving Denver and Surrounding Areas
Pop your hood and look at your engine. If you can see a layer of dust, grime, or oily film covering everything, that's months or years of road debris, dust, and moisture buildup. In Denver, the dry climate keeps things from getting as grimy as humid regions, but mag chloride spray, construction dust, and general road film still find their way under the hood.
A dirty engine bay isn't just ugly. It makes it harder to spot leaks, worn hoses, or cracked belts when they start. A clean engine compartment lets you (or your mechanic) see what's going on without guessing what's dirt and what's a problem.
We clean the engine bay by hand using safe degreasers and brushes. No high-pressure blasting into electrical connectors or flooding sensitive components. Every engine is different, so we check what needs to be covered or avoided before touching anything.
This service is available as an add-on to any exterior or full car detail. We come to your home or office anywhere in Denver and the surrounding area.
Before spraying or scrubbing anything, we open the hood and look at what we're working with. We identify exposed electrical connectors, air intakes, and anything else that needs to be protected from moisture. Newer vehicles are generally well-sealed, but we check every time regardless. You can also send photos ahead of time if you want us to take a look before we show up.
We cover sensitive components with plastic or towels to keep water and cleaner away from areas that shouldn't get wet. Battery terminals, exposed wiring harnesses, and aftermarket air filters all get protected before any cleaning starts.
We apply a degreaser to the engine bay surfaces and let it dwell for a few minutes to break down the buildup. Then we agitate with brushes to loosen grime in crevices, around hoses, and on flat surfaces. After that, we rinse carefully with low-pressure water, avoiding any components we've covered. No pressure washer pointed at wiring. No flooding the air box.
We dry the engine bay with towels and compressed air to get water out of crevices and tight spots. Once everything is dry, we apply a dressing to the plastic and rubber components to give them a clean, uniform look. The result is an engine bay that looks well-maintained without looking artificially shiny.

Yes, when done correctly. Modern engines are well-sealed against moisture. We take extra precautions by covering sensitive components before any water or cleaner is applied. We've cleaned plenty of engine bays without any issues because we don't cut corners on the prep work.
The risk comes from blasting water into electrical connectors or flooding the air intake. We don't do either of those things. We use low-pressure rinsing, targeted degreaser application, and hand brushing. The goal is a clean engine bay, not a soaked one.
Once or twice a year is plenty for most vehicles. If you drive on dirt roads frequently or notice oil or fluid leaks, more often might make sense. After winter is a good time since mag chloride spray gets under the hood along with everywhere else.
Engine bay cleaning is offered as an add-on to any exterior or full car detail. Since we're already set up and working on your vehicle, adding the engine bay takes about 30 to 45 minutes on top of the detail.
A clean engine bay makes a strong impression during a private sale or trade-in inspection. It signals that the vehicle has been well-maintained. Buyers and dealers notice when someone has taken care of the details that most people skip.
